Fibroids: Common Uterine Tumours
Fibroids are non-cancerous growths in the uterus and are very common in women of reproductive age. While many fibroids cause no symptoms, others may lead to significant discomfort or complications.

- Pressure or pain in the pelvic area.

- Frequent urge to urinate.
- Infertility.

Diagnosis
Fibroids can be diagnosed through one or more of the following methods:
- Physical Examination
- Ultrasound Scan
- MRI of the Pelvis
- Blood Tests
For abnormal bleeding, additional evaluations may include:
- Endometrial Biopsy: A sample of the uterine lining is taken for analysis.
- Hysteroscopy: A scope is used to visually examine the uterine cavity.
